POINTS TO BE CONSIDERED WHEN PURCHASING PINE PLYWOOD
Plywood surface quality should be smooth. One of its sides should be at least B quality, without any cracks or knobs. The other side can be C quality and crack and knob to a certain extent can be acceptable. The caliber should be smooth, the thickness should be homogeneous on the surface. There should not be any difference in thickness on the surface. There shouldn’t be any margins and the thickness of internal layers should be equal if possible. The miter should not be misplaced on the plywood since it may cause problems when using them side by side. The number of layers must be at least 3, because the higher the number of layers, the stronger the strength and there will won’t be any problems with coating in CNC processes. The water tack should be of WBP glue. (phenol formaldehyde). Whichever plywood the tree starts with, all layers must be of the same tree type. The use of different trees in plywood production creates problems in plywood and this issue must be taken into consideration before making a purchase.
